If I were a member of the Alaska National Guard, I’d not take kindly to being activated and sent to the Mexican border. News clips of other states’ Guard units show them being used primarily as cheap labor, more shovels and brush hooks being used than mulitary expertise. I guess using well-paid, trained fighting men and women to cut brush is one way to raise money for the wall.
