Letter: Frustrated with police

I seem to have come into the same problem as a recent op-ed writer with the Anchorage police not helping, just plain denying you help. You can’t even help yourself; that’s cause for you to be arrested. You can let them know who the person is and where he lives with no help. Police have allowed the same thieves who stole from me to just come walk around near my home, as if to say, “Yes I took it; do something about it.” If you try to defend yourself, it’s you who is arrested.

I’m just so afraid to stay here that I’m leaving the state. I’ll have to leave all I own and start over at 60.
