Anchorage trash bins in city parks should be the first to comply with the new trash laws. City parks are a gathering point for many small children, yet many of these parks have “open” containers. Lyn Ary Park is a prime example of neighborhood open containers with a bear “draw.”
The Anchorage municipality should set the example by implementing secure trash at its facilities now.
