Letter: Emergency services are a blessing

Thursday evening, I was at Midnight Sun Brewing when a visiting rugby player had a heart attack. The emergency response was amazing. In short order there were a dozen or more police, fire and EMT personnel on scene working to save him. The EMT in charge maintained a calm, firm control of the scene until the man revived enough to be transported to the hospital. Last we heard, he was improving.

I was very impressed by the dedication and professionalism of all those involved. I feel that we as a community are fortunate to be served by these men and women, and I, for one, thank them from the bottom of my heart.
