Letters to the Editor

Letter: Full PFD, please

I cannot believe the fight over the Permanent Fund dividend. Everyone knows it goes right back into the local economy. I pay my property tax with it; others pay rent, utilities, food and car payments. It’s better than taxes — everyone benefits from it, including nonprofit groups. So think about it. Former Gov. Bill Walker stole the PFD and the economy suffered during his one term. The current governor gets it. Stop this stupid fight and fund a full PFD.
