Letter: Swimsuit controversy

I swam in USA Swimming meets in Alaska for 12 years and in Alaska School Activities Association meets for four. Our suits were painfully tight to reduce drag, in hopes of shaving tenths of a second off a personal record.

Not wearing your team suit would be an actual “uniform violation.” Swimming fast and playing by the rules is not.
