In response to the recent letter from George Trudeau, I have never had, nor accepted, a “payback,” as he suggested, from any logging or mining industry.groups. Nor from any oil, gas, fishing or tourism group. I personally fund my own efforts promoting a well-rounded economy based on our state’s resources. Only then will we be able to educate and employ our young Alaskans here in our state and fund the many legitimate needs of Alaskans.

Timber, like our fisheries, is a renewable resource and is sustainable if properly managed. Otherwise, like us, it lives and dies. I assume Mr. Trudeau has built a bonfire from time to time at Anchor Point from dead wood.
