Letters to the Editor

Letter: PFD joke

It is so sad that the greedy millionaire Alaska politicians can steal our Permanent Fund dividend money. It started with the worst governor Alaska ever had, the one-term Gov. Bill Walker, and now the legislators who are his clones. Why do these people not understand that all that money goes right back into our local economy? Are they so rich and ignorant that they don’t see this?

I have been here 40 years and have received every one of the PFDs and spent them all here in Alaska. If the state can’t live within its means, that should not allow it to take my money for essential services I could not live without (so they say). Guess what? I could and have lived without those services. This Alaskan says leave my PFD alone, and thank you Gov. Mike Dunleavy for being one of the few to stand up for us.
