Letters to the Editor

Letter: Keep playing those ukuleles

I rarely voice my opinion to others’ letters to the editor. But Caroline Valentine’s letter, published Nov. 27, set me off! She claimed the teacher, Mr. Schweitzer, didn’t have permission to do a medley of Beyoncé’s songs. It’s only copyright infringement if the people are profiting from said infringement, which in this case they are not!

If I want to play an Elton John song on my violin, do I need his permission first?
