Letter: Shoot the bears

In response to recent letter-writer Marybeth Holleman’s Asheville bear story: We live in a big state. Bears have most of it to themselves. Not our town. These oversized rodents deserve little more than a bullet in city limits; please do your part for our safety.

Open as many hunts as possible, liberal bag limits — heck, open up a bounty. Oversized rats is my opinion, though I’m just an Alaskan and not from a “cultured” city like Asheville. I say see them, shoot them, just my opinion. These rats kill people; I wonder what New York City would do if rats killed their residents.
