Letter: Adoptions

Each year, Thanksgiving gives us pause to consider why we are truly thankful. For my family, it is adoption. Not just gathering kids for a forever home and family, but the entire Alaska adoption community — all those involved.

For us, Alaska made adoption possible. We have five kids — all five we couldn’t imagine life without. And the grandchildren!

This letter is to all of you that made this possible. Thank you!

You all know who you are. Know that your efforts, generosity, time does not go forgotten.

For those of you considering an adoption plan, there is a Forever Family out there. For those thinking about the possibility of adopting your Forever Child, they are out there waiting for you.

My advice: Say yes, yes, yes! You will not be sorry. It is the best ride you have ever been on.

Happy Thanksgiving, Alaska, and thank you once again!
