Letters to the Editor

Letter: Solastalgia

A great piece by Shehla Anjum not about climate science, but the frustration of this wacky weather here in Alaska. I just moved here from Texas, and we were having wacky weather there too. I was a bit shocked arriving here in the Mat-Su desert, so little rain, and the summer of heat and smoke. And locals not quite knowing what “lightning or hail” even was.

I read lots of climate books, but there is still so much not known. If palm trees return to Alaska, will hominids be here too?
