Lo, poor Sen. Lisa Murkowski. She is outraged, outraged that she had to participate in a sham Senate trial of President Donald Trump put on by her and her colleagues. No witnesses; she voted against them. No documents; she voted against them — and no justice. She and her Trump senators turned the “greatest deliberative body in the world” into a spectacle that any two-bit banana republic would recognize.
Maybe she recognizes that she is forever tainted by the Trump brand. Everything he touches dies and the carrion smell lingers on. Now Sen. Dan Sullivan is due to explain his membership in the Trump cult during this election season. The only problem is how much damage Trump is going to do before he is removed.
