Letter: Wash your masks

Cloth coronavirus masks remind me of an old story: A Third-World resident expressed utter bafflement after he watched a white European empty the contents of his nose into a piece of cloth, carefully fold it up and put it back in his pocket. “They save their snot,” he marveled. There’s a lot of cloth walking around out there without benefit of soap and water, day after day, week after week.
