Thank you, ADN, for collaborating with ProPublica to publish the “Unheard” series, featuring women and men who’ve chosen to tell their stories of sexual assault in Alaska, and resources available for others’ stories yet unheard.
The series confirmed for me that we who have experienced these traumas need not suck it up and suffer in silence. It also brought me to experience and share a new more compassionate view of people who are self-medicating and those who are choosing to live outdoors in nature rather than boxed in by walls.
