I can't believe the feds gave the state the OK to build a road to the Ambler mining district. The road would go through the Gates of the Arctic National Park, crossing 2,932 streams. But they won't let the people of King Cove build a lifesaving road Cold Bay. Where are the environmentalists on this, and Sen. Lisa Murkowski?

Anyone who's been to Cold Bay knows there's road all over there. Why? Because of World War II. I know the "Save the Earth" people don't want to upset a bird, but this is a lifesaving road. They were ready to give up so much land to get this road and still the government said no, but will let the Ambler Road, which crosses so many streams, go forward. That's OK because money talks. What a shame.
