Letter: Hospital use

It is extremely misleading to report that “Roughly 60% of the state’s normal hospital beds were occupied Sunday.”

There were 27 people hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Sunday, August 2. Twenty-seven people out of 1,438 total beds is 1.9%.

Reporting these facts would keep things in perspective.

You might want to investigate why we are destroying the economy for a disease that only has used 1.9% of our hospital capacity.
