Letter: COVID-19 failure

I take strong exception to Donald Trump saying “Don’t let (COVID-19) dominate you.” This pandemic has dominated every aspect of my life in countless ways. My biggest daily burden and sorrow is knowing that the policies of this president — facilitated and enabled by Dan Sullivan, Lisa Murkowski and Don Young — are stealing precious time I would have spent with my 91-year-old mother, who is in failing health in the Lower 48 in long-term care.

My only hope of seeing her again before it is too late depends on getting COVID-19 under control, which translates into getting rid of Donald Trump and his enablers. That is why I am voting for Joe Biden, Al Gross and Alyse Galvin on Nov. 3. This is personal.
