There’s an old saying that it’s hard to persuade someone to understand a point when his financial interest requires that he not understand it. Thus, oil companies and the legislators whose re-election campaigns are funded by them find it hard to understand that global warming is caused by burning fossil fuel and is causing serious damage to our environment. Denying the science there makes it an easy step to deny the science that might slow the spread of COVID-19 if the science recommends financially unpleasant acts.
Don Young and Dan Sullivan have never challenged their party’s position that there is no human-caused global warming and that COVID-19 will just disappear. Each has a capable, independent challenger. For your children’s sake, please remove them from their offices.
