Letter: Where is the leadership?

After surging COVID-19 cases, letters from the health community imploring Gov. Mike Dunleavy to issue a statewide mask mandate, and numerous scientific reports from experts that masks work, why is Gov. Dunleavy not showing leadership? Instead, he issued an emergency message that basically did nothing.

Gov. Dunleavy belongs to the club of Republican governors that supports Donald Trump and does not want to make Trump or Trump’s friends mad at him, despite the number of lives impacted in Alaska by COVID-19. Is he afraid that none of his GOP friends won’t let him sit with them at lunch? This is not high school.
