Letters to the Editor

Letter: Thanks, Assembly

I am a resident of Anchorage who wants to thank the Anchorage Assembly for not only employing mandates to combat the spread of COVID-19, but working on relief packages to keep residents safe and healthy. The Anchorage Assembly is working hard to get things done — Gov. Mike Dunleavy could learn a lot from this proactive team!

While the governor’s communications director encourages people to shirk CDC guidance and Dunleavy refuses a statewide mask mandate, the Assembly is working hard to stop the spread of COVID-19 and provide financial aid to those most affected by the pandemic. I also applaud their efforts to support a mental health first responder team to support our community.

Thank you, Felix Rivera, Acting Mayor Austin Quinn-Davidson and the Anchorage Assembly, for the important work that you do.
