Letter: Trump must go

If Donald Trump’s cabinet does not vote to invoke the 25th Amendment, then Congress must impeach him immediately and remove him from office.

Trump incited this insurrection with his unending stream of lies about the election. He enabled domestic terrorists and white supremacists who descended on the epicenter of our democracy with the intent to disrupt and overthrow our government. Donald Trump is not fit to serve for one day more, and he must be held accountable, so that he cannot ever run for the presidency again.

Jan. 6 was a sad and scary day for America. Congress must act decisively to protect our democracy. We cannot give Mr. Trump the benefit of the doubt any longer.
