Letter: Vaccine priority

I’ve been reading about the state of Alaska’s plan for giving out the vaccine in a well-thought-out, orderly way, which is commendable. However, I am 60 years old, my company is allowing me to work from home, I am in good health, and I will probably be eligible for the vaccine soon.

I’m wondering if there is a way I could volunteer to give my place in the vaccine line to a younger person supporting their family in a non-”front-line essential worker” job? Like someone who works in a grocery store, or delivers food so we can stay home and safe, or has an employer who requires them in the office. In this time of crisis, it would be nice if I could do my part to help someone in more need than me.
