I am writing to praise the Anchorage School District for the job employees did providing the first coronavirus vaccination to older Alaskans over the weekend. The thoughtfulness, efficiency and caring shown by all the employees working at the school district headquarters was nothing short of amazing.

Once we arrived at the school district headquarters, every ASD employee we met bent over backwards to make the experience as pleasant as possible. After receiving the vaccination they made sure we took time to see if we had a reaction to the shot and used that time as an opportunity to have the second vaccination scheduled.

The only criticism I had was that I couldn’t find a way to sign up ahead of time. I thought I was just hearing a rumor when my wife told me we could get the vaccination at the school district headquarters.
