I spent a frustrating weekend trying to navigate the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services website to book senior COVID-19 vaccines with no success. I was surprised Sunday night to receive notice my waitlist appointment — submitted five hours earlier — was accepted at Anchorage School District for Monday morning.
I arrived with my appointment confirmation. My wife was a walk-in. What a great experience. We were greeted by a professional, expert and friendly staff and vaccinated within an hour. We and hundreds of other seniors are most appreciative of the service. Thanks to Anchorage School District for a job well done. Best of luck to those still navigating.
