I’m just spitballing here, but rather than sink the ferry Malaspina, could/would it be possible to drydock or beach it to be used as a homeless shelter? Seems the city wants the homeless out of the Sullivan Arena anyway, so rather than put those folks back out on the streets, house them in the Malaspina.
I’m fairly certain many will think that’s a stupid or crazy idea, and maybe it is, but it sure seems a better use of that ship to house people rather than fish as an artificial reef.
