The picture with the river otter and the bald eagle in the ADN recently reminded me of a scene my husband and I witnessed Tuesday afternoon last week at Potter Marsh while driving home to Girdwood. I thought it was more a weasel than a otter. And this poor thing was desperately trying to hide from an eagle. Too much traffic to stop and watch the (hopefully happy) ending of that race.
