Letters to the Editor

Letter: Our wise mayor

I would like to commend Acting Mayor Austin Quinn-Davidson for her wisdom in using common sense and good psychology in her latest approach to COVID-19 safeguard requirements.

Rather than reimposing requirements which are sensible but largely unenforceable, she has added the incentive of a promise to relax them if a specific goal of compliance is met. Now, those who complain about the inconvenience of anti-COVID-19 practices, and who didn’t want to take the shots on general principle, can hurry the day when those inconveniences are lifted by merely getting the now freely available vaccinations.

Talk 70% of the public into compliance, and go out to your favorite night spot!
