Letter: Cultural revolutions

I read the recent commentary by Michael Carey. The Chinese Revolution was nothing new. Cultural revolutions are like earthquakes; they have been going on forever and come in all sizes.

Any book concerning a cultural revolution offers two pieces of advice: how to create a destructive revolution and how to avoid it. A good way to create a destructive revolution is to shut down free speech and control the conversation in schools for a selfish end. Sound familiar?
