Letter: Tax increases

I received my 2021 tax bill from the municipality.  My property tax increased almost 9%. The national inflation rate was 4.2% last year. The city blames most of the increase on the state shifting bond debt to the city. Yet the residents of Anchorage continue to approve the majority of proposed bonds.

Wake up, Anchorage. There is no free lunch. Remember this the next time you vote to approve a bond.
