Letter: More downtown housing

I read the recent commentary by Jeannette Lee with dismay. Nowhere in the piece was affordable housing mentioned. This leads me to visions of high-dollar condos, ones that most of us can not afford. I can also see losing at least half of our Park Strip for them, the strip many of us still enjoy.

It is like the song of long ago, our version: “Little condos on the Park Strip, little condos made of ticky tacky, little condos on the Park Strip and they all look the same!” I moved here from Germany in 1963, and would hate to see this happen.
