While I wish all eligible Alaskans had already chosen to get the shot, it seems like the designers of the vaccine lottery missed an opportunity. They could have incentivized earlier vaccination by allowing anyone who gets vaccinated during the lottery period to be entered in all the drawings after their vaccination date.
Getting vaccinated in the first week would give you eight chances to win. Better odds and, more importantly, earlier protection for themselves and their neighbors against COVID-19.
