Now that the party of Trump has created a partisan Supreme Court, there is no point of believing anything it says. Political edifices used to be supported by a modicum of truth and ethics, but not anymore; Instead of it being turtles all the way down, for the party of Trump, it is lies all the way down, consummately reflected by its liar-in-chief, Donald Trump.
