Letter: Won’t get fooled again

“You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time,” as Abraham Lincoln said.

Not so fast, President Lincoln. Apply this to the Republican Party’s unwavering support for Donald Trump in the face of his near-constant lies, subterfuge and ill intent for the nation and an exception clearly needs to be carved out to acknowledge that in this case there is a group where all of them are being fooled all of the time.

Sarah Palin’s future is our next test of the validity of the saying. Let’s all hope another exception isn’t needed.
