I am a lifetime Alaskan, and a lifetime Republican. As someone who puts country before party, and values honor, decency, competence and authenticity, I disagree with the Alaskan Republican Party’s campaign to “rank the red.”
Instead, I suggest the following:
Rank the rational.
Rank the competent.
Rank the authentic.
Rank the decent.
Rank the respected.
Simply put, whether you are liberal or conservative, Republican or Democrat, rank Mary Peltola and Nick Begich in the order you prefer – they are the only two candidates who meet the above criteria. Good luck to both.
