Letter: Out of gas

A prominent Alaska attorney once stated, upon moving elsewhere in our state 30 years ago, that Fairbanks with its winter squabbles was the “biggest village in Alaska!” Now Anchorage has finally caught up.

But, at least so far, no one has gotten into a fistfight like the U.S. House of Representatives’ Republicans almost did two weeks ago. Also good news is (with a few exceptions) the Assembly seems to be capable if the city administration completely collapses, which seems inevitable with the current mayor totally lost in his own wilderness. He can’t even find a village in which to land, and he’s run out of fuel.
