Many nations in Asia are celebrating the Lunar New Year, and the origin of this event is buried in historical past. Calling it the Chinese New Year may make the Chinese Communist Party happy, but it also neglects the experience of many other countries. So let’s call it what is actually is — the Lunar New Year.
