We already have a mayor in Anchorage who has demonstrated either a complete misunderstanding of or a complete disdain for rules put in place before his election. Now, it appears we have several candidates who have a similar attitude regarding their campaign signs.
I shouldn’t have to tell people who are seeking jobs that involve making rules and regulations for all of us that rules apply to them also, and the rules regarding campaign signs posted in rights of way are, or should be, fairly well known by now, especially for people running for office.
So far, I’ve seen illegal signs posted by School Board candidate Mark Anthony Cox and Assembly candidate Spencer Moore in my neighborhood. I’ll try to keep you posted on others as I notice them.
