As a State Senate District F voter, I was initially uncertain about who to support in this race. I’ve watched James Kaufman and Janice Park closely, and after careful consideration, I’ve decided to support Janice. Here’s why.
Kaufman continues to focus on policies disconnected from the daily struggles of hard-working families. He emphasizes reducing government spending and implementing stricter budgeting controls, which might sound good on paper but, in reality, often translate to cuts in essential services that families rely on. While Kaufman talks about “common-sense budgeting” and reducing regulatory burdens to support businesses, he continues to overlook the critical needs of our community, particularly in areas like public education and child care.
On the other hand, Park has a vision that resonates with the needs of hardworking families. She’s made public education a top priority, advocating for predictable funding to ensure our children receive the quality education they deserve. Her plan to expand access to affordable childcare shows she understands the struggles of working parents who need reliable and safe options for their children. Park’s focus on ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed, and families have the resources they need to thrive contrasts with Kaufman’s approach, which prioritizes cost-cutting and deregulation over investing in our community’s future. Additionally, she supports public employees.
Janice Park’s victory in the primary election demonstrates that her vision resonates with voters. Ultimately, the power to shape the future of our district lies in our hands. She has the momentum, the vision, and the understanding to address the critical issues we face, and that’s why I’m voting for her. I urge you to do the same.
