Why did the Alaska Sealife Center send a walrus calf to Seaworld Orlando, a location known to hold whales and dolphins captive for entertainment purposes? Are we really “saving” an animal if we just sign it up for a lifetime of physical and psychological abuse? Is the argument of a zoo educating the public not obsolete? We don’t need to see animals in captivity to believe they exist in this day and age.
