WASHINGTON — Alaska Sen. Dan Sullivan plans to hold a town-hall-style community meeting in Anchorage on Saturday.
Sullivan reportedly drew a large and generally respectful crowd to a town hall in North Pole last week, where much of the discussion centered around congressional efforts to alter or repeal the Affordable Care Act.
Saturday's town hall will follow the same format as his meeting in North Pole, according to spokesperson Mike Anderson. Sullivan will begin with an update on his work in Washington, D.C., and then take questions from the crowd, drawn at random.
While some GOP town halls in the Lower 48 have grown rowdy with constituents upset about health care legislation, Sullivan said Wednesday he wasn't worried, and is happy to meet with constituents whenever he can.
The town hall meeting will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday in the auditorium at Bartlett High School, 1101 Golden Bear Drive.
