4 more debates scheduled for GOP U.S. Senate hopefuls

At least four more debates between the Republican primary candidates for U.S. Senate are scheduled before their Aug. 19 election date.

On Wednesday in Fairbanks, at noon in the Carlson Center, the three major candidates will square off at an event hosted by the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce and moderated by an official from a local mine.

The following day, the candidates will discuss rural issues at a forum hosted by Alaska Public Media.

On Sunday, the GOP hopefuls will appear at an Anchorage debate jointly hosted by television station KTVA and Alaska Dispatch News, at 7 p.m. at UAA's Wendy Williamson Auditorium.

And on Monday, the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce is hosting its own debate, at noon at the Egan Center downtown.

This story has been updated to reflect the correct location of Monday's Anchorage Chamber of Commerce debate.
