New Gov. Bill Walker and his running mate, incoming Lt. Gov. Byron Mallott, had a busy day Monday in the leadup to their inauguration in Alaska's capital city of Juneau. Walker is set to be sworn in at 11:30 a.m. at Juneau's Centennial Hall before a sizeable crowd, who will be awaiting his inaugural address in hopes of learning his priorities for the next four years in office as Alaska's lead official.
Walker becomes the Alaska's 11th governor since statehood, and takes over for outgoing Gov. Sean Parnell.
