Photos: Wide-ranging cast of characters gathers for Senshi Con

Fans of Asian culture, animation, comics and gaming filled the Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center on Saturday for the first day of the annual Senshi Con convention. Nearly everyone was dressed as their favorite character, and many wore face paint, wigs, prosthetics and sported elaborate accessories.

Vendors on the first level sold comics, posters and props. Anime screenings filled the rooms on the second level, and convention-goers rode the escalators to the third-floor balcony to take selfies in the sun.
