The Alaska State Fair parade travelled down South Alaska Street in Palmer on Saturday, August 29, 2015.

The smell of fried foods, the calls of barn animals and squealing children and the sights of carnival rides have once again filled the Alaska State Fair grounds in Palmer. The fair kicked off on Thursday and is set to run through Sept. 7. Fair-goers can enjoy the festivities rain or shine.
