Sophia Scull, from Seattle, is thrown into the air during the Rondy blanket toss that was held the evening of February 27, 2016 in the middle of a closed 4th Avenue near C Street. The blanket toss originated with Alaska Native hunters who were heaved into the air so they could better see the animals they hunted. It has now turned into a game where participants try to land on their feet without falling down. If successful, the person is rewarded with one more toss.
