Photos: Kuskokwim River flooding in Western Alaska

Flooding due to an ice jam on the Kuskokwim River in Western Alaska reportedly affected at least 25 homes as of May 10, 2011, according to reports from the state and various Alaska Native regional corporations. An estimated 90 Crooked Creek residents have remained on higher ground at Crooked Creek. No injuries have been reported. The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the village of Crooked Creek on Monday. They have also issued flood warnings to the villages of Chuathbaluk and Aniak.
