Hundreds of student athletes from across Alaska came together for competition and camaraderie Friday at the 47th annual Native Youth Olympics.

The games are tests of strength, skill, agility and concentration, and are modeled after survival skills unique to the Arctic.

Events are free to watch and continue Saturday at the Alaska Airlines Center on the UAA campus.
