More than 1,300 graduating students — along with their friends and families in the crowd — filled the Alaska Airlines Center Sunday as they celebrated their graduations at the University of Alaska Anchorage's spring commencement ceremony.

Nina Lee, who dropped out of college twice before discovering her passion for education, addressed the crowd as student speaker.
