First lady Melania Trump stopped at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson on Friday morning for a jet refueling and to visit with military families at a Veterans Day event.

Trump spent less than an hour at a preplanned free event for families of active-duty members that included arts and crafts, stories and games.
